Is there a better way to kick of January 2018 then spending time with talented knitters and 3 FLOORS of yarn? No, my friend, there truly is not. I’m excited to share all about my experience at this year’s vogue knitting live!
I got the chance to take two classes while I was at the event, both on Sunday. The first class I took was with Franklin Habit and it was on photographing your fiber. I learned so much from this class- here are some before and afters.
I also took a class on drawing for designers with Deborah Newton, which was beyond awesome. If you are interested in this topic, I found a similar class on Craftsy called Drawing Fashion Flats.
There was a HUGE marketplace. I was only able to check out one of the floors but later found out that the marketplace was 3 whole floors. Wow.
Some tips I have for you if you go to Vogue Knitting Live next year:
- Have a budget ahead of time, and make a list of what types of yarn you want. There are tons of things to buy and doing this will prevent overwhelm.
- Take a class, if you can. They’re really great and really round out the experience.
- Look at the schedule for free events throughout the day, and take advantage of them!
I’ve been having a super busy month- if you notice a reduction in blog posts, that’s why! I hope that you enjoyed this post all about my 2018 VKL experience. Let me know in the comments below if you’ve ever been to VKL!
